Deborah Forbes (MEd, PhD) is an artist and academic. She has lived in five provinces of Canada, and Edinburgh, Scotland. She has been producing and exhibiting artwork, in a variety of media, in Canada, USA and UK, since the 1980s. She has been an instructor at Medicine Hat College, Medicine Hat, Alberta, and contributed as a municipally elected public school board trustee, Medicine Hat, Alberta, for more than 30 years. Deborah has presented at academic conferences in Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, China, and UK. Deborah is a committed Indigenous Peoples ally, who works for Reconcili-action (Truth and Reconciliation) in all she does. Motto: Get up every day and create meaning!
